Friday, Sept 21

Art After Dark 

The night-time open house features live performances, interactive art experiences, and more, with highlights like photography exhibitions from the Singapore International Photography Festival, new showcases and installation artworks, and the third edition of Supermama’s Porcelain & Craft Festival.

7pm-late at Gillman Barracks. Free.

Comedians Against Humanity

Touted as “the horrible comedy show for horrible people”, this stand-up comedy show is obviously inspired by the game, so only attend if you’re not easily offended.

Until Sept 22, 8pm-10pm at The Merry Lion. At the door $15-$20.

Craft Singapore

It’s all about beers, spirits, and food at this year’s Craft Singapore, with brews from the likes of The 1925 Brewing Co, Trouble Brewing, The Mad Tapper, and Daryl’s Urban Ales, plus bites by Sidecar Sausages, Vatos Urban Tacos, and Bonnie’s Chocolates. Also look out for a retail market on Saturday and Sunday, alongside tarot card-reading sessions and beer pong games.

Until Sept 23; Fri 6pm-midnight, Sat 2pm-midnight, Sun 3pm-9pm at 30 Maxwell Rd. Tickets from $20/day, include one beer.

Global Art Forum: I Am Not A Robot

This three-day conference discusses the meaning of big data, automation, and AI in this digital age, with topics like Singapore’s approach to AI and the depiction of robotic beings in cinema.

Korean Delights

Melt Cafe’s first Korean feast offers everything from seafood pancakes and spicy rice cakes to ginseng chicken soup and seafood stew to kimchi fried rice and chicken bulgogi.

Until Sept 30; 6:30pm-9:30pm at Melt Cafe, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. Sun-Thurs $78/person, Fri-Sat $88/person, includes free flow juice.

Modest Travels

This travel-themed play produced by local actress/producer Tan Kheng Hua features four travel stories from Uniqlo fans, taking guests on a tour of four Singaporeans exploring Morocco, Uzbekistan, India, and Europe. The theatrical experience brings you through different rooms of a colonial bungalow, and it’s part of the brand’s 2018 Winter Travel campaign.

Mr Proof’s Auction

This auction offers rare and exclusive bottles available from The Proof Collective, with 25 lots up for bids. Drinks and canapes will be circulated.

6:30pm-9:30pm at 1880’s Double Bar and Studio. $100, with $50 donated to charity Plastic Oceans.

Oktoberfest at OD Mall

The Grandstand’s newest retailer hosts its Oktoberfest celebrations with activities like face-painting, a menu of sausages and schnitzels, boutique market stalls, and loads of craft beer.

Shakespeare’s Globe

This performance is a trio of the playwright’s most popular plays — Twelfth Night, The Merchant of Venice, and The Taming of the Shrew — with the audience getting to choose which they’d like to view on the final two Saturday shows.

Singapore Tea Festival

For its second outing, the tea festival features 30 tea and tea-related brands, with names like Antea Social, Sucre, Kindred Teas, Pin Tea, Kittea, Pintree Pantry, A.muse Projects, Tea Chapter, and more.

Saturday, Sept 22

Illustration Arts Fest

Besides workshops and talks, the festival market spotlights over 100 booths hawking merch, wares, and more.

Until Sept 23; 11am-6pm at Lasalle.

SG Farmers’ Market

Check out the bounty of local farmers showcasing homegrown strawberries, fish, vegetables, and more, with cooking demonstrations and craft workshops for kids.

Until Sept 23; 9am-2pm at myVillage @ Serangoon Gardens. Free.

Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival

This festival offers heritage trails, mooncake tasting sessions, lantern-making workshops, storytelling, and performances over the weekend.

Sunday, Sept 23

Utter Redux: The Bigger Picture

Pop by for a day of film screenings, panel discussions, and workshops featuring film adaptations based on Singapore literature.
