For those of us, uh, no-longer-quite-youths, our brains pretty much automatically associate the phrase “custom PC” with “gamer” or “gen Z” (or gen Z gamer). But then, on one fateful day as it came time for that mind-numbingly overwhelming experience that is shopping for a new PC, we wondered if perhaps building our own ideal PC from scratch would actually turn out to be a good investment in the long run.
