Autobots, roll out for the first ever Transformers Run that’s coming to the shores of Sentosa’s Palawan Beach next year. The 5km route, based on the Transformers Generation One storyline, will allow participants to align their loyalties with Team Autobot or Team Decepticon.

Expect to see banners with images of the robots along the way, as well as photo ops with iconic characters like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron. Also look out for a meet-and-greet sesh with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, as well as carnival booths offering Nerf game trials, balloon sculptures, food and drinks, and Transformers merch.

Those who sign up for the race will get a goodie bag stuffed with an official run tee, a water bottle, a wristband, a drawstring bag, and discount coupons.

Granted, it sounds pretty much like any other standard themed fun run in Singapore — so far we’ve had the Star Wars Run, Pokemon Run, and even Hello Kitty Run — but if you’re a fan (devastating reviews on the Michael Bay franchise be damned), you probably won’t hesitate to register.

Transformers Run is on Jan 6, noon-8pm (race flag off at 4pm) at Palawan Beach, Sentosa. Tickets from $75.
