English folk-rockers Mumford & Sons and English electronic-soul act Honne will play at Neon Lights Festival when the two-day event returns to Fort Canning Park in November, organizers announced yesterday.

Both acts will perform on Saturday, November 23, with Mumford & Sons as the headlining act, according to its press release. Honne will perform ahead of them.

Early bird tickets for the first day of the festival costs S$108 each and will go on sale on the website and ticketing service SISTIC from 9am on Friday. Tier 2 tickets, which costs S$128 each, will go on sale once the early bird tickets sell out.

Mumford & Sons, a Brit- and Grammy-award winning band has headlined many world-renowned festivals including Glastonbury and Coachella.

The four-piece band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals/guitar/drums), Ben Lovett (keyboard), Winston Marshall (guitar) and Ted Dwayne (bass).

Formed in 2007, they are known for incorporating folk string instruments such as the banjo, mandolin and resonator guitar and have released four multi-platinum certified albums with chart-topping hits like “Little Lion Man” and “I Will Wait.”

The band had its first stop in Asia in 2013 when they performed at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Their upcoming show in Singapore will be their first-ever stop in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Honne will return to Singapore for the second time this year after they performed in sold-out shows across two nights earlier in March.

The duo, consisting of James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck, was formed in 2014 and has since released two albums “Warm on a Cold Night” and “Love Me/Love Me Not,” with popular tracks such as “Coastal Love” and “Me & You.”

The headlining act for Sunday, November 24, will only be announced in late July, organizers said. Tickets for Sunday and two-day tickets will go on sale then.
