Here’s a list of bars in Singapore where you can catch the Mayweather-McGregor fight live

It’s a boxing match that’s been anticipated for years — undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces off with feisty Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor this Saturday night (US timing) in Las Vegas.

The odds are bent towards Mayweather winning the money fight, of course, because he’s an actual boxer who beat Manny Pacquiao fair and square two years ago. Perhaps McGregor knows it, and that should explain why the Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter pushed the hilarious trash talking beyond the limits of human decency — maybe he’s just drumming up as much excitement as possible before cashing out.

But you gotta give it to McGregor, he really knows how to put on a show.

All that build up for the match will pay off, as the fight is set to smash pay-per-view and gambling records. Will the scrappy Irish brawler defy the fates and actually defeat the boxing legend? Or will Mayweather finally shut his opponent’s yap once and for all?

Heck knows, but if you’re keen on watching the live telecast of the match this Sunday (Aug 27), here’s a list of bars in Singapore where you can catch the battle of egos unfold.

McGettigan’s Clarke Quay

Doors will open from 9am onwards to screen the fight across multiple large screen TVs, with a breakfast buffet to boot at $30 per person. No reservations will be taken though, so it’s first come first served.

JD’s Bistro Bar

No frills — just drop by at 9am and watch the match live with some brews and bros.

Hero’s

Doors open at 9am, but the kitchen only opens from 9:30am onwards. All tables have been snapped up, but walk-ins are welcome. No harm trying your luck.

Le Noir Bar & Lounge

No reservations taken, but doors open at 8am, so you can get tables way earlier here than at most of the other spots screening the match. The bar’s $20 breakfast offers a burger and a pint of beer, and happy hour prices go on till 8pm.

Dallas Restaurant & Bar

It’s open for reservations, but there’s a minimum $50 spend of per person — which is alright, considering the meat platters are absolutely amazing.

MOA Tiki New Zealand Bar & Grill

The joint will screen the match live in both its CHIJMES and Changi City Point outlets, but the former’s fully booked. Brunch will be served for $35, while kids have their own set meals at $11.90.

Times Square Bar & Grill

There’s an admission fee of $20, which comes with a free drink. The beer promo’s not too shabby either, with $6.50 for full pints of Guinness or Tiger. No buffet, but there is have a special breakfast menu just for the match itself. Reservations are still open.

Harry’s Clarke Quay

Doors open early at 8am, and reservations can be made (though it’s unclear if it’s fully booked by now).

Hooters (Marina Bay)

Though it may still have a reputation as a “breastaurant” overseas, the Hooters branches here are really just another joint to get some classic American fare. The outlet at Marina Boulevard is a proper sports bar, and it’ll be screening the fight live on the big wall of TVs, so everyone can see the action. Doors open early at 8am, and there’s a breakfast buffet at $38 as well. Table reservations and group bookings are still available.

Boomerang Bar

The sports bar at Robertson Quay confirmed that it’ll be screening The Money Fight at 9am, but there’s not much info available about the deals it’s offering on the day.

Urban Fairways

Don’t be distracted by the fact that it’s a boutique golf club, cafe and bar — you can still watch the bloody brawl while peacefully practicing your swings on the state-of-the-art simulators. But admission fees are, honestly, a bit pricey — you’ll have to fork out $159 for members and $199 for non-members.

Shanghai Dolly

Come Sunday morning, the nightclub’s main hall turns into a proper theatre to watch the match. You’ll need to buy tickets first though — it’s $98 online and $118 at the door on Sunday. For coughing out that amount, you get free-flow house pours, beers and breakfast for two hours upon entry. VIP tables are available too, if you’d like private seating and access to the smoking lounge. Pretty good deal, really.

Muddy Murphy’s

What kind of Irish pub would Muddy Murphy’s be if it didn’t screen the biggest fight of the year between a hot-blooded Irishman and a similarly hot-blooded American? Doors open at 8am, with a minimum charge per person ($30, inclusive of two drinks). VIP tables are sold out, and walk-in customers will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis.
