A Singapore-based candle company is confusing customers with candles that look like cakes.
At its store in Chinatown’s Yue Hwa Building, Candlescape sells handmade candles that are so detailed they come with a “Do not eat” warning, says founder Annie Lin.
They make candles that resemble desserts such as ice cream, macaroons, and drinks including cocktails, coffee, and bubble tea.
The brand uses soy wax as it burns more “cleanly and slowly.” But fret not, if it burns till the end, customers can replace the candle holder with another scented candle.
They are also working toward using eco-friendly and sustainable products by importing soy wax and fragrance oils from like-minded factories.
Candle-making workshops are available for all ages, whether for bonding between colleagues or children.
Just like the candles’ appearances, scents are also customizable. Recently, they made one that smelled like whiskey for Father’s Day.
