A seller of iconic French and European furnishings has opened a store to make Singaporean homes look extra chic.
My Selection has launched its first physical store in Farrer Park to shift locals away from boring, same-old furniture and open their eyes to some iconic French and European chairs, tables, cabinets, and more.
“It is our DNA to offer customers a different experience compared to traditional showrooms, featuring products that are atypical of mainstream Singapore,” CEO Alexandre Kebabtchieff said in a news release.
The 1,200-sqft store also has a bakery by La Petite Boulangerie which serves up classic French pastries with a Singaporean twist, like Merveilleux, a traditional French and Belgian dessert the brand says has never been served in Singapore.
It is made of whipped cream sandwiched in meringue and served in different flavors like classic chocolate and praline, kaya, passion fruit, cheesecake, or tiramisu. They also have traditional French Escargot pastries in flavors such as vanilla raisin, pearl sugar and praline, pandan kaya coconut, and gula melaka.
My Selection has sold French and European designs to Singapore since 2016 via its online store.
Now, it is selling a Buisseau Armchair by French fashion brand La Redoute Interieurs that screams the ’60s; the Helma Armchair by AM.PM blends Nordic and Italian designs with German engineering; and Fermob’s Luxembourg Low Armchair that is available in eight colors.
Complete the set with the Luxembourg Low Tables that are made for the outdoors, or the mini Plus4 Extensible Balcony Table by EMU that is expandable.
Decorate rooms with knick-knacks like AM.PM’s Florian Planter Pot fitted on a wooden stand, or their dip-dye Ouboud Cushion Cover.
Beside the French and European furniture, there are also accessories and gifts by local brands.
