Christmas time is here, and if you’re a little late to the game (like us), you’ve still got about a week or so before all the Santa sleighs and snowmen get replaced by bright red Chinese New Year trinkets. So to help you get into the festive spirit, we’ve rounded up a list of Yuletide markets, parties, festivals, and other activities to do before the year is over.

12 Days of Christmas Picnic

With a backdrop set up by Picneeds and a basket of good food put together by MasterChef Singapore finalist Shamsydar Ani, this evening picnic is a chill time to unwind, snap photos, and design gingerbread men.

Until Dec 25, 6pm-10pm at Esplanade Park. $80/two.

 

A Universal Christmas

Universal Studios Singapore gets into the festive swing of things with light displays, parades, fireworks, and musical performances, including highlights like Elf Town, Santa’s Snowy Sleigh Parade, Oscar’s Grouchmas Show, King Julien’s Merry Mambo Christmas Party, and Santa’s Christmas Light-up Party.

Until Jan 1, 2019 at Universal Studios Singapore. Entry fees apply.

 

Christmas in Tomorrowland

Christmas happenings at Bugis Junction include a 10m-tall tree-shaped structure, plus a festive market that runs from the mall to the fountain area, featuring 20 stalls hawking F&B bites, lifestyle accessories, collectibles, and carnival games.

Christmas on A Great Street

By now, you would’ve seen the the Orchard Road stretch decked out in Disney. Love it or hate it, the lights featuring Disney characters are here to stay till the end of the month, alongside pop-up stores, photo ops, and a European-inspired Christmas Village (until Dec 26) with light bites, amusement rides, and nightly performances.

Until Jan 1, 2019 at Orchard Road. Free.

 

Christmas Wonderland

The yearly Yuletide affair, back for its fifth edition, takes you through what’s hailed as the region’s biggest luminarie mirror maze, illusionist acts, an ice skating rinks, carnival games, “snowy” times, and a market full of trinkets and treats. Plus, there’s the nearby Flower Dome and its Poinsettia Wishes floral display, featuring adorable Disney Tsums making merry with baubles, fairy lights, bunches of holly, and Christmas trees.

Until Dec 26 at Gardens by the Bay. Entry to Christmas Wonderland $8-$10.

 

FFS (For Festive’s Sake) It’s Christmas

This NSFW night puts the ‘extra’ in extravagance to celebrate, in gaudy style, all the things you love or hate about the festive season. Think roving performers in flashy threads and a “pimped out” photobooth for you to collect your final few memories of the year, all to the beat of EDM, hip hop, and more by Zouk resident DJs.

Dec 24, 10pm-late at Zouk. Ladies $35-$40, men $45-$50.

 

Island Lights

Illuminating art installations by the likes of local names Sam Lo and Tina Fung will light up Palawan Beach at Sentosa every evening, along with tunes by a live band and snacks at food booths. If you’re a Pokémon fan, head down from Dec 21-23 to catch the first LED Pikachu Night Parade outside Japan.

Until Dec 31, 7pm-11pm at Palawan Beach. Free.

 

Jingle Mingle Christmas Party

Get started on your night of revelry in town with beats by local band 53A and drink promos at Acid Bar and Alley Bar.

Dec 24, 5pm-late at Acid Bar & Alley Bar.

 

Mambo Jambo

Ready your moves, because the popular retro night returns on Boxing Day for old school beats and sing-along tunes, with a playlist helmed by Jeremy Boon and Tony Tay.

Dec 26, 10pm-late at Zouk. Free for ladies, men $30.

 

Prudential Marina Bay Carnival

Returning for its second year, the carnival brings on board a greater variety of rides and games in a slightly more compact space, with new activities and festive programmes introduced each month. It’s not entirely Christmas-y, but hey, nothing says holiday cheer in Singapore like family-friendly fun.

Until Mar 24, 2019, 4pm-11pm at Bayfront Event Space. Free entry, with ticketed rides and games.

 

Puberty Again: Christmas Edition

The good old sing-along sesh at HopHeads takes a festive twist with Yuletide bangers by crooners from Michael to Mariah, plus some jingle bell rock tossed in.

Dec 22, 10pm-late at HopHeads. $15.

 

Quayside Isle Christmas

Look out for the light arch installation at this Sentosa Cove stretch and stroll along the boardwalk with your little ones in search of the inflatable train ride, a mini ninja obstacle course, and an adventure area with interactive components.

Until Dec 30 at Quayside Isle. Free.

 

Saturday Soiree

It’s time to rummage through your closet for your most hideous of sweaters to blend in at Lavo’s ugly Christmas sweater shindig. Those dressed totally in theme get free entry to the party (and pics for posterity to LOL at).

Dec 22, 10pm-late at Lavo Singapore. After midnight $20.

 

The Kave HQ Christmas Edition: Jingle Dingle

Sign up for this night of mystery, where you’ll be blindfolded and transported to a secret space on a vintage Volkswagen. The party begins with a “Christmas Tarik” cocktail and nibbles (bring cash if you want a bite to eat), followed by performances by local acts like Marc & Hashy, Gareth Fernandez, and DJ Ritz.

Dec 21, 8pm-11pm at The Kave HQ. $33.31, a donation from each ticket sale will go to charity.

 

Viesta! The New York Edition

VivoCity’s first outdoor skating rink blasts the beats as you glide under the stars, with themed nights such as K-pop Tuesdays, Mambo Wednesdays, and Electro Saturdays. Santa and his buddies will also make an appearance on Christmas Eve and Day.

Until Dec 25 at L1 outdoor plaza, VivoCity. $12-$14.

 

Wheeler’s Market: Festive Edition

If you’ve still got cash left to splash after all that frantic Christmas shopping, head to Seletar Aerospace Park for an afternoon of festivities. Vendors like Fluffle Co, Just Julia, Nuffypuffy, and Studio Saturday will have their wares on display to the backdrop of tunes by local buskers.

Dec 30, 9:30am-6pm at Wheeler’s Estate. Free.

 

White Winter Wonderland

Take to the top of One Raffles Place for a jolly ‘ol time at rooftop bar 1-Altitude, where the drinks are flowing and the snow is falling. Lindo Martinez will kick things off with chill tunes for Sundown Affair, followed by party beats throughout the night.

Dec 24, 6pm-late at 1-Altitude. 6pm-9pm $40, 9pm onwards $50.
