As if Singaporeans can’t get enough of character cafes with the likes of Pokémon, Hello Kitty, and what not, here’s a new one for cartoon fans to flock to. Hailed as the world’s first DreamWorks KouKou themed cafe — and brought to you by the people behind Gudetama Cafe — the cutesy 50-seater eatery in Bugis features dishes and decor inspired by fan favorite animated films such as Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, and Trolls.

So if you’re a fan of Princess Fiona, Toothless the Night Fury, Po, or the penguins of Madagascar, you’ll probably be psyched to seat yourself in one of the eatery’s dome-shaped booths to gaze at the colorful characters adorning the walls.

You probably know by now that the food at such themed cafes isn’t really the focal point — admit it, you visit ’em just out of curiosity (or to snap pics for the ‘gram) — but for those interested, the Asian-inspired menu serves up seven mains, six sides, five desserts, and a selection of sugary beverages.

Check out some of the offerings below.

Night Fury steak rice ($18.50), with hamburg steak, veggies, and forbidden rice.
Never Leave a Man Behind ($22.50), made of grilled salmon, fish cakes, mixed veggies, and Japanese rice swimming in bechamel salted egg sauce.
Secret Ingredient Ramen Soup ($23), a bowl of kimchi ramen filled with prawns, clams, mussels, and squid.
Signature KBP ($13) of pork belly slices stuffed in steamed buns, stamped with stickers of Madagascar characters.
Warrior Dumplings ($12) made of chicken, topped with ebiko, and served with garlic aioli.
Hairlarious Princess ($18), a mixed berries mousse cake topped with candy floss and rice puffs.
Fun Sliders ($9) – a dessert of fudgy brownie s’mores drizzled with peanut sauce, with a side of cotton candy soft serve.

DreamWorks KouKou Cafe is at #05-04/05/06 Bugis+, 201 Victoria St. Daily 11am-10pm.
