It’s peak durian season, y’all. Hotel restaurants are cashing in on the King of Fruits with durian dessert spreads and eateries are welcoming one and all for unlimited face-stuffing. The latest one to hop on board: Plaza Singapura.

Over the weekend of June 21 to 23, the mall is hosting 45-minute durian buffets, doling out Musang King, D24, and D101 varieties for the low, low price of $4.50 per person. Clearly, the stink fest isn’t happening in the air-conditioned building, but at its outdoor front plaza.

Not all good things come without strings attached though, and this one’s no different. You’ll have to spend at least $45 in a single receipt at PS to purchase a pass to the feast, and each shopper can only get two tickets a day from the outdoor plaza booth.

Meanwhile, if you’re feeling generous, The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel Singapore in Resorts World Sentosa is hosting a Good Ol’ Days party on July 12 at 6pm.

Besides free flow Mao Shan Wang and other premium durian types, there’ll be fruits such as mangosteens and rambutans on the buffet table, plus getai performances to keep you entertained. But, it’s priced at $88 for RWS Invites members and $98 for non-members, so this one’s more of a splurge.
