Satisfy your sweet tooth with ice cream lava cookies and ice cream shakes

Remember when we told you about molten lava cookies at local ice cream shop Kooks Creamery earlier this year? Well, it looks like another contender just boarded the gloriously gooey hype train at Jalan Besar. Creamery Boutique Ice Creams, a brand that started in Bangkok in 2012, just opened its first outlet in Singapore — and yes, it’s all about homemade ice cream, molten lava cookies and ice cream shakes.

Located just opposite hipster haven Chye Seng Huat Hardware, the cafe takes over a space that has seen several eateries come and go through the years — but hey, maybe this time’s the charm.

Of course, Creamery is all about ice cream, and some options on the menu have been given the local twist — including a kaya toast flavour and a rendition of everyone’s childhood fave Hello Panda biscuits (but with tiramisu). As for the lava cookies, only four types are served for now: classic brownie, chocolate, matcha and red velvet with cream cheese. Pair any of those with the ice cream flavour of your choice for a melt-in-your-mouth sweet treat.

And if an ice cream shake is what you’re after, the menu offers chocolate, green tea, Thai tea and berry cheesecake choices.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore is at #01-03, 139 Tyrwhitt Rd. Wed-Mon 11am-10pm. Ice creams from $3.80, lava cookies from $7.90, ice cream shakes $6.90.
