All good things in life eventually make a comeback. So if you haven’t been completely satisfied by the nasi lemak burger creations from Antoinette, The Beast, or even your own culinary attempts, rest assured that McDonald’s OG burger will be making a return to all McDonald’s outlets very soon.
Like, end of the month soon.
At least, according to an unnamed (and apparently reliable) source who spilled the beans to 8 Days. Besides the Nasi Lemak Burger, its fellow locally-themed friends like the Chendol McFlurry and Bandung McFizz will also reappear on the menu.
Unfortunately, a rep for McDonald’s declined to comment on the wildly popular burger’s comeback, but one can always hope. And time will tell whether we’ll soon get to (once again) sink our teeth into the fast food chain’s creation that sandwiches a chicken thigh patty marinated in coconut milk and spices, a sunny side up egg, caramelized onions, crunchy cucumber slices and a glob of sweet sambal between semolina buns.
