Sydney’s famous Aqua S is set to open its first Singapore outlet in Orchard, and the date is reported to be Aug 15. If you haven’t oohed and aahed over the brand’s delicate, soft-hued aesthetic before, well, perhaps you’ve gotta up your Instagram game.
Because this must be what whimsical ice cream dreams are made of.
Known for pretty pastel soft serve swirls and intriguing flavors such as apple cinnamon pie, Snickers, pandan, watermelon pear, tofu, and egg pudding, Aqua S and its viral sensations have spread to Auckland, Melbourne, Phnom Penh, and Texas so far, attracting many a sweet tooth to its dreamy concept space.
With over 100 options on the menu, its long-standing signature is a turquoise-colored sea salt soft serve, which is probably the only constant in the brand’s ever-changing line-up. Concocted after the owners took a trip to Okinawa, Japan, the popular flavor is a considered a standard must-try with the crowds that flock to the ice cream parlor. But since you can have two flavors in one swirl, you can of course feel free to add something different to the mix.
To embellish your cone or cup, garnish it with toppings like caramel popcorn, toasted marshmallows, popping candy, or candy floss. And don’t forget to snap a pic before you inhale your frozen treat.
