Bad news, people. Yet another eatery is closing its doors for good (after Artistry and Me@OUE). This time, it’s French bistro Ô Batignolles on Gemmill Lane, after serving up dishes like croque monsieur and duck confit shepherd’s pie alongside its selection of cheeses and wines to regulars for the past six years.

On its Facebook post, the restaurant said it regretted having to leave its “little Parisian corner”, but cited difficulties in settling on a “long-term and sustainable agreement” with the landlord as the reason for its closure.

Next week marks its final few days before it shutters for good on March 30, so if you’re keen on one last hurrah, swing by for wine and cheese nights. The wine bar is also clearing out its wine cellars, with discounted prices from March 26 onwards.

Alternatively, check out its sister restaurants Ô Comptoir on Circular Road and Merci Marcel in Tiong Bahru if you find yourself getting withdrawal symptoms. Or just keep tabs on this space, ’cause the people behind these joints are whipping up a new concept and debuting it in May.
