A lot of people have complained that Zoom calls are tedious, but the people of Dasmariñas City in Cavite have had a different experience — they saw their village captain having sex with his treasurer in an online conference call broadcast recently.
As a result, Jesus Estil and the employee he was having carnal relations with have resigned, the city’s Association of Barangay (village) Captains announced today.

Jorge Magno, the president of the association, told radio station DZBB that Estil and the woman have left their posts to soothe angry constituents.
“He [Estil] is asking for understanding and patience over what happened,” Magno said in Filipino.
The chairman of the village of Fatima Dos, Estil was caught in the act in a Zoom call where he was supposed to discuss his pandemic plans with other government officials of Dasmariñas City. Instead, the village officials witnessed the married Estil engaged in a private moment with his staff. At one point, the village chairman was seen turning his cellphone’s camera off, unaware that another camera was documenting his misdeeds.

Residents got hold of the video, a copy of which they sent to the media. Television show Tutok Tulfo reported that as a consequence, scandalized elderly residents demanded that Estil resign from his post.
Well, they got what they wanted.
