Crazy ex-girlfriend? More like Crazy ex-boyfriend.
A woman is currently recuperating from wounds from an attack by her former live-in partner, who stabbed her multiple times — all because she refused to get back together. CCTV footage of the incident was found and released by GMA News’ Unang Balita yesterday.
In it, the victim, who remains unnamed, can be seen sitting on a chair by a sidewalk in Quiapo, Manila when a man suddenly comes up and starts stabbing her.
Dude, we’re telling you, this is definitely not the way to woo her.
According to the report, the woman was stabbed eight times. She sustained wounds on her hand, back, arm, and face.
Barangay kagawad (village councilperson) Jay Dowell and others found the woman on the ground and immediately brought her to the hospital.
The woman survived the attack and lived to tell the story.
She said that she refused to get back together with her ex even after he professed his undying love for her. However, what started out as bickering quickly escalated into something more violent.
“He suddenly stood up and told me that it’s my time [to die]. When he returned, he suddenly started to stab me,” the woman said in Filipino.
Another CCTV footage shows the woman trying to run away and the man chasing after her. He did not stop hurting her until she collapsed to the ground.
Authorities said that they are now searching for the suspect as he was able to get away. And it turns out that this isn’t the first crime he committed.
The ex-boyfriend is also part of the drug watchlist and figured himself in a brawl that was also caught on CCTV.
