Swipe Left: Two men arrested in Quezon City for allegedly selling meth on dating app

Some people  think that dating apps are good for hookups, some think they’re good for looking for true love, but two dudes from Quezon City allegedly thought they were good for something else entirely: selling shabu (meth).

Rowell Pagsolingan, 34, and Ralph Duran, 33, were arrested last night in the city for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover policeman whom they met on a dating app aimed at gay men.

The two suspects agreed to meet their customer in the village of Bagumbahay and were arrested as soon as they handed over the drugs, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. Quezon City police seized 4.05 grams of meth from the suspects — which has a street value of almost PHP28,000 (US$544).

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bilaro of the Quezon City police told ABS-CBN that the suspects would often call their shabu “missile” or “rocket” while transacting with customers on the dating app to avoid getting caught. This time though, their luck ran out.

Television news show Unang Balita reported that the suspects have denied that they’re dealing drugsThey will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
