A Filipino-American family in the San Francisco Bay Area recently fulfilled their late daughter’s dream with the help of NBA superstar Steph Curry.
Kimberly Nuestro, 16, from Cupertino, Calif., died on Sunday from a medical condition after collapsing at a basketball game the day before.
Her father, Ramir Nuestro, took to Facebook in an effort to fulfill his daughter’s dream — have Curry sign her shoes. The Golden State Warriors point guard was Kimberly’s favorite basketball player.
After a social media campaign called “Sign for Kim” went viral, Nuestro received a call Tuesday informing him that Curry requested for Kimberly’s shoes to be dropped off during his team’s practice for him to sign.
