An unnamed classmate said that he and Langit were on their way back to class when they ran into the three Grade 12 students in the school gym, ABS-CBN News stated.

Maramba allegedly pushed Langit and challenged him to a fistfight, GMA News reported. The victim fought back but both Soriano and Biagtan allegedly stepped in and mauled him.

Langit had already collapsed when the security guards tried to stop the fight. The victim also ended up peeing himself before losing consciousness due to the beating.

The suspects have been arrestedThe Philippine Star reported. The report added that Maramba was allegedly jealous of Langit because his girlfriend had a crush on the victim.

Investigations also show that there had been bad blood between Langit and Maramba in the past.

The school’s administration said that Langit maintained a good school record, Radyo Inquirer reported.

A homicide case was also filed against the alleged bullies, Bombo Radyo added.

Meanwhile, Langit’s relatives are waiting for the victim’s mother to come back to the country from Kuwait, DZRH News states.

Bullying was a hot topic in the Philippines last month when a video showing an Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student beating up a schoolmate went viral.
