Bullying went too far in the Mangaldan National High School, Pangasinan when a Grade 11 student ended up in a comatose after three fellow students allegedly beat him up on Tuesday.

The victim Kenneth Langit, 19 years old, is currently still in critical condition and has not gained consciousness, ABS-CBN News reported.

An unnamed classmate told ABS-CBN News that he and Langit were on their way back to class when they ran into three Grade 12 students at the school gym.

One of the Grade 12 students, identified by GMA News as George Maramba, allegedly challenged Langit to a fist fight and pushed him. The victim fought back but the two other Grade 12 students saw what happened and allegedly helped Maramba beat him up.

The two other Grade 12 students were identified as Jason Soriano and  Jay-ar Biagtan, GMA News reported.

Security guards tried to stop the fight but it was too late because Langit had already collapsed to the ground when they arrived, ABS-CBN News reported.

According to GMA News report, Langit was hit so hard that he ended up peeing before losing consciousness.

Authorities are still investigating the suspects’ motive, including the possibility that the fight had something to do with a girl, ABS-CBN News wrote.

An unnamed relative of Langit told GMA News that it seems one of the suspects’ girlfriends had a crush on the victim. Investigations show that there has been bad blood between Langit and Maramba in the past, the same report states.

The school’s administration said that Langit maintained a good school record, Radyo Inquirer reported.

Police have arrested the three alleged bullies; they were charged with frustrated murder.

Bullying was a hot topic in the Philippines last month when a video showing an Ateneo Senior High School student beating up a schoolmate went viral.
