No kidding: This door was also used as a coin bank

This beats that old piggy bank you had when you were a kid.

A video posted on Wednesday is currently going viral. It shows a door being cracked open. Why? So that a child and an adult could retrieve countless coins and bills inside.

Yup, it wasn’t an ordinary door. It also doubled as a coin bank! Pretty smart, eh?

Cherry Nato Torres posted the video with a caption in Filipino that translates to: “Zian Asher saved up for this. Let’s transfer it. You still have three months to save up. It (money) won’t fit inside the door anymore.”

It looks like Zian Asher is planning to buy something pricey if he needs three months to save up for it.

In the video, a child can be seen taking the money while an adult is destroying the door using a hammer.

The video has been viewed more than a million times and has been shared more than 18,000 times.

Netizens are understandably amused. Wrote Erwin Negre: “This is too much [laughing emojis]. What you saved up is possibly not enough to repair that door which you’ve destroyed [laughing emoji].”

Yssa Muñoz doesn’t agree with Negre and other people who said the money should be used to buy a new door. She wrote: “People who say the money should be used to buy a new door are overreacting. They could easily repair it because it was cracked open at the bottom. People!”

Wrote Joyo Corazon: “I’m sure those bills are old if the person has been saving for a long time.”

A netizen who used the name Moyra Moyra wrote: “So that’s why the Philippines is running out of coins. They were hidden [there] [laughing emojis].”

In the Philippines, it’s common for groceries and department stores not to give the exact change because they don’t have enough coins.
