Drug detainee dies from head banging

A drug detainee died last Sunday at the Talipapa, Quezon City Police Station, after repeatedly banging his head at the cell bars.

32-year-old Roberto Marasigan was arrested for drug possession and for violating the gun ban.

Cellmates said that Marasigan initiated fights since he was detained. Marasigan was told to stay in front of the jail cell, unfortunately, he started banging his head at the bars until he fell unconscious.

According to the Journal,he was declared dead on arrival at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) due to fatal head injuries.
