The PSG is Duterte’s official security detail.

According to a report in Inquirer.net, Major Harim Gonzaga, 37, was found dead inside his office by his wife at around 9am today, PSG chief Lope Dagoy said.

“It is a matter of concern. However, we need to clarify what this was all about. We need to find out exactly what it was,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said during a televised press conference in Malacañang.

Dagoy said Gonzaga died of a gunshot wound to his chest but he did mention who shot Gonzaga and why. An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

Dagoy confirmed Duterte was inside of his residence when the shooting happened.
