(UPDATED) A shooting incident has transpired inside Malacañang Park on Tuesday morning, the Presidential Security Group (PSG) confirmed.
Malacañang Park is across the street from the Palace, where President Rodrigo Duterte’s official residence, Bahay Pangarap, is located.
The PSG is Duterte’s official security detail.
According to a report in Inquirer.net, Major Harim Gonzaga, 37, was found dead inside his office by his wife at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dagoy said.
PSG chief Lope Dagoy said Gonzaga had a gunshot wound in his chest, but did not yet say who shot Gonzaga and why.
