Some people are just born unlucky.
A man who allegedly attempted to steal a cellphone from a General Santos City home was caught after he forgot one of his slippers inside the crime scene, new program 24 Oras reported last night.
Suspect Bryan Tagpuno, the Cinderella in this story, tried to steal from his neighbor but hastily left the house. Cops who showed up to investigate the robbery saw Tagpuno in his home across the street, with one missing slipper. The authorities had an inkling he was the thief, but told him to try the slipper just to see if it fit — and just like in the fairy tale, it did.
Tagpuno said he commited the failed robbery out of “hunger.”
While the suspect failed to steal the cellphone, its owner intends to charge him for breaking into his home.
