LOOK: These retired police doggos need ‘furever’ homes

As the saying goes, adopt, don’t shop!

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced today that its K-9 unit will have an adoption day for nine of their retired narcotics detection dogs on May 3.

The PDEA shared the name, temperament, and behavior of each dog available for adoption in the Facebook post. There is one German Shepherd and eight Belgian Malinois doggos. Their ages range from 1 to 10 years old.

Those interested in adopting can head to the PDEA K9 Unit Facility in Sitio Lambakin, Barangay (Village) Sto. Cristo in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan on May 3 (Friday) from 7 am to 7 pm.

Those interested need to fill up an application form and will be interviewed.

Investigation Agent III Bernardo Velasquez, chief of the K-9 unit told Coconuts Manila that there are no requirements and no processing fees.

The PDEA conducted its first adoption day in August 2018 for police dogs that were recommended for retirement based on their performance and health. All of the dogs from last year found furever homes.
