This is welcome news.
Earlier this week, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada went to Hong Kong to personally bring a check for the victims and to formally offer an apology for the 2010 Manila bus hostage crisis.
“As a result of the talks, Hong Kong has lifted the travel ban for its residents who want to go to the Philippines. It also lifted travel sanctions on Philippines government officials going to Hong Kong,” reports ANC.
Estrada said in a phone interview, “They accepted the sincere sympathy from the national government and the apology from local government.”
