Guy dies for helping motorcycle rider who fell from bike

A guy who just wanted to help a stranger in need ended up dead after literally getting the shock of his life.

The man got electrocuted and died this morning while helping a motorcycle rider who fell from his bike in the midst of Typhoon Rosita in Tarlac, San Clemente.

Engineer Genesis Santiago of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in San Clemente told Radyo Inquirer that the incident happened at around 5am.

The same report added that the wind toppled an electric post near the area, electrocuting the rider and victim.

The victim died instantly while the motorcycle rider sustained injuries and is currently in a hospital under critical condition.

As of 2pm today, the eye of Typhoon Rosita is in the vicinity of Sablan, Benguet heading towards La Union, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) reported today.

There are moderate to heavy rains over Northern and Central Luzon, where Tarlac is located.

The typhoon is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow evening.
