Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on Thu morning tried on a new hat at the PNP gift-giving event at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, ABS-CBN’s Jeff Canoy reports.
Bato gamely wore a red Santa outfit, complete with a thick beard and eyeglasses.

Police authorities prepared their brand of entertainment for the eager crowd. Aside from Santa Bato, there was also a President Rodrigo Duterte puppet, who reminded people to stay away from drugs.
“My God I hate drugs,” the Duterte puppet said. It’s not hard to imagine the President saying that in real life.
Well, we’re glad to see the police force feeling the spirit of the season. It’s Christmas time, indeed.
