Elderly witness has heart attack during court hearing

An elderly witness had a heart attack in the middle of a court hearing today at the Makati Metropolitan Trial Court in Makati City.

Radyo Inquirer reported that the unnamed elderly man suddenly fell from his seat while he was in court. He reportedly hit his head as he fell and subsequently lost consciousness.

ABS-CBN radio outlet DZMM added that he was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for a few minutes while waiting for medics to arrive and bring him to the hospital.

The court instructed reporters not to identify the man.

He was reportedly testifying in a case involving the falsification of public documents.
