In a move that was apparently made to convince the public that Covid-19 can infect anyone, Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon has announced that he, too, has tested positive for the coronavirus. The senator confirmed the news in a television interview earlier today, July 27.
The Philippine Red Cross tweeted its well wishes to their chairman, saying, “Wishing our ever-hardworking Chairman a speedy recovery. Rest assured that with your leadership & guidance, all of Philippine Red Cross will continue to stand strong & offer effective services to those who need it.”
In the interview, Gordon said he and his wife had already received their vaccines, and that he was asymptomatic.
