The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reports that there were a total of 79 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad last week, with none coming from Europe. This is a relatively low number compared to reports from previous weeks in September and August 2021.

There were also 113 new recoveries and six deaths among Filipinos abroad in the week ending on September 12. The DFA also noted that there were more recoveries than confirmed cases reported.

There are currently 8,405 undergoing treatment, bringing the overall total to 23,115. There have been 13,328 survivors who have recovered, and, sadly, 1,382 Filipinos who have died of Covid while abroad.
