8,445 Filipinos abroad are under treatment for Covid-19, DFA reports

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reports that there were 130 new Covid-19 infections among Filipinos living abroad over the past week, bringing the total number currently undergoing treatment to 8,445.

There are a total of 23,036 confirmed Covid-19 cases as of September 6, 2021. There were also 287 new recoveries and, unfortunately, seven fatalities over the past week, which brings the total number of recoveries to 13,215 and deaths to 1,376.

There are now 103 countries and territories with confirmed cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos abroad, following reports from the Middle East and Asia and the Pacific, up from 101 the previous week.
