This has to be one of our favorite Valentine’s day stories.
The Lucas family happily welcomed a baby girl on Feb 14, 2017. The magical moment was shared by proud dad Jay jay Lucas on Facebook.
What’s even more amazing? Baby girl Lucas was born at 11:25 am, the exact time when Courageous Catie passed away on Mar 31, 2016.
“So surreal still… We lost Caitie around 11:25 a.m…. held her in our arms… and now our baby daughter came into this world at 11:25 a.m. on the day the world know it’s all about love day,” wrote JayJay on Facebook and Instagram.
“Valentine’s Day will never be the same again for our family,” he said.
The beautiful blessing was named Tabitha Calea which means “beautiful grace in joyous harmony.”

It may be recalled that Jayjay and his wife Feliz struggled as their eldest daughter Caitlin Lucas battled with a rare kind of blood cancer. Caitie’s story went viral because of her family’s faith and optimism in spite of her “mystery illness”.

Jay jay has also posted how Tabitha Calea was welcomed by her big brother Ethan.
On Jay jay’s Instagram account, the parents shared how they made sure that Catie was the first one to welcome Ethan back then. Now, it’s Ethan’s turn to welcome his little sister.
