Philippine National Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana said that they are gathering information to verify if the rumor is true.
“We’ll have to secure, perhaps, initial information from the regional director of PRO (Police Regional Office) 10. Rest assured such information will be communicated specifically to concerned individuals affected,” Usana said in a virtual press briefing.
If the rumored cult is connected with the rebel group New People’s Army, Usana said they will “see to it that appropriate action will be taken by the police.”
“If these are from the government, then it will also have to be validated based on pieces of evidence that we can gather from there,” he added.
