A 15-year-old student of Kasarinlan High School in Caloocan City has claimed that her 32-year-old make Math teacher sexually assaulted her in a deserted part of the school library at around 8am last Tue, Mar 15.
In a Philippine Daily Inquirer report by Jodee A. Agoncillo, the girl was quoted as saying, “He told me to bring him the test papers. When I arrived at the library, he told the library staff to leave us alone for a one-on-one.”
Once they were alone, the teacher reportedly “made the girl stick her tongue out so he could kiss it, fondled her breast, before forcing himself on her.”
The report noted: “The teacher then warned her not to tell anyone what happened or he would tell her parents of her ‘experience’ with her ex-boyfriend.”
The girl went on to say that when the Math teacher finally left her at the library, “two of her friends, who had been looking for her all morning, found her crying as she rushed out.”
The girls ran into the Math teacher, who reiterated his threat.
The three students still went to the Caloocan Police Community Precinct 2, where the victim made filed an initial report. That afternoon, the victim, along with her parents and aunt, wanted to confront the teacher. However, they weren’t able to find him as he had had already left the campus. The teacher has not reported to work since them.
The victim’s father said the rape complaint was filed Thu, Mar 18, at the city prosecutor’s office.
Police are now hunting down the Math teacher after investigators failed to find him at his known address in Caloocan City.
For her part, Rita Riddle, superintendent of the Caloocan Division of City Schools, said “Education Secretary Brother Armin Luistro had called up her office after reading the earlier Inquirer report on the case and asked the school to extend assistance to the complainant.”
