Following the home invasion on the home of a Philippines Graphic employee at Greenview Subdivision in Pamplona 3, Las Piñas City, cops are intensifying their operations to hunt down the suspects.

“The latest home invasion incident was on Oct 18, at the home of Greenview Subdivision resident Dennis Guevara, who was beaten up and nearly shot by robbers who barged into his home. His wife, daughter, and sister-in-law were bound, gagged and blindfolded by the robbers,” reports Christian Imperio in The Philippine Star.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage provided by the barangay showed that “a gold Toyota Avanza – believed to be the one being used by the robbers – was seen going around the subdivision.”

The report noted: “Based on initial investigation, the househelp of one of the Guevaras’ neighbors said a group of men claimed to be workers of a telecommunications firm who were tasked to install a DSL connection. When the househelp refused to let them enter the house, the robbers targeted the Guevaras instead because their gate had been open at the time.”

Local officials (who asked not to be named) have confirmed that “there have been multiple home invasions at Greenview Subdivision over the past few months.”

One incident happened last Aug 26, when robbers broke into the home of Raymond Azuela and took valuables amounting to P200,000. Azuela later said in an interview, “After the incident, I asked around the subdivision and found out that almost everyone on the block was robbed.”

Azuela claimed that he “kept calling the investigators handling the case for updates, but to no avail.”
