Perhaps, the bad cops have to be identified first?

“Ten Caloocan City police officers were removed from their posts and disarmed for allegedly robbing a family while looking for a “drug suspect” in their home last Dec 5,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

Senior Superintendent Roberto Fajardo, Northern Police District (NPD) director had made the decision to remove the police officers from their posts following the complaint of Emilia Calanday

Calanday reported that unidentified armed men barged into her house in Barrio Sto. Niño, Barangay 187 at past 2pm. The policemen claimed to be looking for someone named “Lando,” but they were not able to present any search warrant. The cops proceeded to get inside Calanday’s house and ransack their belongings. They then fled in a Toyota Innova.

The report noted: “A nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera caught on video the lawmen arriving at the house and loading the family’s possessions into the Innova.”

In an interview, Calanday said in Filipino: “They took the wristwatch and necklace of my son. They took everything, including a newly bought dishwashing machine and the shoes of my grandchild… Are these the kind of policemen that we have? Instead of helping the people, they are the ones who are stealing from us.”

Meanwhile, Fajardo has ordered North Extension supervisor Superintendent Reydante Ariza to conduct an in-depth investigation that would be the basis for the formal filing of criminal and administrative charges.
