When it comes to matters of the heart, celebrities — they’re just like us. In a recent post on her Instagram account, actress and OG influencer Kris Aquino showed us that the hunt for true love is tough for the rich and famous, too.
In a post that appeared on Aquino’s Instagram account yesterday, the actress announced that she had opened a private Facebook account, and that she only had eight friends in her network. So, she took to her public platform to say that she’s looking for male friends — but only if they meet her criteria.
“If you’re male, please be between 41 to 55, single (you could be widowed, divorced, legally separated, or annulled), and if you’re a DOCTOR (especially a rheumatoid, immunology, allergy specialist, neurologist, anesthesiologist, pain management specialist, or cardiologist) promise I will immediately ACCEPT your friend request,” she wrote in English and Filipino.

The former presidential daughter has chronic spontaneous urticaria, an auto-immune disease, which probably explains why she wants to be “friends” with a doctor. But apparently, her two sons Josh and Bimby Aquino are looking at other Facebook friend qualifications.
“My 2 sons said okay w/ them if you’re a pilot who has an international route- hehehe. ([That’s a] preview of what’s ahead of you),” she wrote.
Aquino has a famously interesting dating history. She had her son Josh with former partner Philip Salvador, whom she separated from in 1999. She has been married once: in 2005 to professional basketball player James Yap, with whom she had her son Bimby. Alas, the marriage was annulled seven years later.

Despite her past heartaches, her fans have remained optimistic that she will eventually find her forever love. None of her followers had anything negative to say about her dating strategy, and even suggested some people they knew.
“My neurosurgeon is very much single at 51, charming, smart, has a bachelor’s degree in Literature (imagine!!!), and could pass as Keanu Reeve’s brother. Too bad he doesn’t have an FB account,” wrote screenwriter @noringai.
Follower @beltran.bernadette wrote: “I know a bunch of eligible bachelors [here] in the USA. come over lol.”
One male follower admitted that he doesn’t meet Aquino’s criteria. “I don’t meet madame’s qualifications for being a private friend,” wrote @jerome.m.padilla.
There were a lot of female fans who also wanted to be Aquino’s Facebook friend. “I hope I could become Miss Kris’ friend on FB,” wrote @itsmariceldepaz.
