It’s been two days since actress Kim Chiu was ambushed — but thankfully unharmed — by gunmen in Quezon City, but police are still looking for leads that can help them identify the two gunmen responsible for the crime.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, who oversees the Philippine National Police, said in an interview with radio station DZMM today that he was puzzled as to why Chiu was ambushed.

“We still don’t know who the suspects are because we’re still looking for leads or information. It’s puzzling that someone like Kim Chiu would become the subject of riding in tandems,” Año said, using a slang term for shootings perpetrated by a suspect riding pillion on the back of a motorbike.

Chiu was reportedly shot at by two assailants wearing black helmets on a motorbike at the corner of Katipunan Avenue and CP Garcia Avenue in Quezon City. Chiu, her driver, and a personal assistant who was also inside the vehicle were not harmed.

In an Instagram post, Chiu wrote that she “was so scared, I don’t know what to feel right now. I have no enemies and I have not offended anyone. Why me?. Whoever did this, I leave God to take care of you. At the end of the day, I just thought [at least] no one was harmed among us.”

Meanwhile, the Quezon City police say they are looking into the possibility that the case was one of mistaken identity, and are looking for CCTV footage of the crime, CNN Philippines reports.
