Actress Kim Chiu was ambushed by unidentified gunmen this morning on the corner of Katipunan Ave. and CP Garcia Ave. in Quezon City.
Her driver, Wilfredo Taperia, told ABS-CBN News that they were on their way to the shooting of the drama series Love Thy Woman at 6:15am when two men onboard a motorcycle shot their van at least six times.

Taperia said when they first heard the shots, he assumed they were happening behind them. “Then we realized we were the ones being shot at,” he said.
The assailants, who reportedly were wearing black helmets, fled towards Commonwealth Ave. Chiu was unharmed, and even proceeded to go to work despite being left shaken by the incident. Her driver said she has no known enemies.
Chiu, 29, is one of ABS-CBN’s biggest stars, and became famous after winning the first edition of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition.
