South Korean heartthrob Park Bo Gum tweeted to one of his fans yesterday. Of course, the fan is Anne Curtis, an also massively popular actress from the Philippines.
Park told Curtis yesterday that he hopes to meet her soon after his fan meet, which the actress was supposed to emcee, was rescheduled due to the string of earthquakes that rocked the Philippines this week.
The event was supposed to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Saturday as part of Park’s May Your Every Day Be A Good Day Asia tour but has been moved to June 22.
Curtis, a K-drama and K-pop super fan, tweeted about her excitement for the event yesterday, saying that it will be “just a few more sleeps!”
The TV host even teased that some lucky fans will be picked to re-enact scenes from Park’s latest drama Encounter.
“Fan girls who will be picked to re-enact scenes from Encounter are so lucky!!!!!! WHO ELSE IS EXCITED?!!!!!”

But a couple of hours after she posted the tweet, Park announced that the fan meet has been postponed.
He, however, saw Curtis’ tweet and thanked her yesterday for sparing time to host his Manila event.
“Though we cannot meet this time, I hope we’ll meet soon again. I’ll pray for the Philippines. Take care,” he said.
Hi Anne! Thank you for sparing your time to emcee the 'Good day' in Manila event. Though we cannot meet this time, I hope we'll meet soon again. I'll pray for the Philippines. Take care!

The actress then replied to say that she had just been informed about the news.
“I must say that it is my pleasure to be your emcee and most importantly, us, Filipino fans understand why you have to postpone ‘Good Day’ and we are very thankful for your concern for our country,” she said.
Hello @BOGUMMY Thank you for replying. Management just told me now. I must say that it is my pleasure to be your emcee and most importantly, us, filipino fans understand why you have to postpone “Good Day” and we are very thankful for your concern for our country.

Curtis’ husband, restaurateur Erwan Heussaff even joked about the event’s postponement and said: “I can keep my wife until June 22!!!”

The joke is a reference to Curtis’ crush on Park, which was revealed in a YouTube video where Heussaff gets a haircut inspired by the Korean actor.
The Korean Wave is real, y’all.
