Sorry fam, but South Korean heartthrob Park Bo Gum is not coming to Manila anymore. Not for now, anyway.

The actor posted a Twitter message to fans today to announce that his fan meet scheduled on Saturday has been postponed due to the recent string of earthquakes that rocked the Philippines.

Starting the posts with the hashtag #PrayForPhilippines, Park apologized for the postponement of the event and asked that his fans be understanding about the move.

The star also expressed his “condolences and consolation” to the quake’s victims. He also said that he will pray for the Philippines and the Filipino people.

Park’s fan meet was supposed to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City and was meant to be the Manila leg of his May Your Every Day Be A Good Day Asia tour. For those who may be unfamiliar with him, he’s one of the hottest K-idols in the Philippines right now, after having starred in hit TV shows Love in The MoonlightReply 1988, and Encounter.

Blossom Entertainment announced today on their Facebook account that the fan meet has been moved to June 22, and will still be at the Mall of Asia.

His fans expressed support of his decision not to come to Manila for now. Twitter user @alacapa_nicole said that Filipino fans are always here to support him and will wait once he’s ready to visit the Philippines.

@mikhaiii thanked the actor for his messages of support for Filipinos.

Another fan said that she understood that Park’s safety was more important and that she’s fine with the wait.

Park’s decision to skip the Manila leg of his tour comes after a major earthquake on Monday which claimed the lives of 16 people in Luzon. This was followed by another quake in Visayas yesterday, and another today in the Davao region.
