Vlogger Nuseir Yassin, the dude behind the very viral Nas Daily video channel, is returning to Manila for another round of video shoots and fan meetups.
The Palestinian-Israeli internet personality, known for having a perpetually chirpy on-screen presence and emoting with his hands, will be at the SM Aura in Taguig City to meet his fans, a post on his official Facebook account said.
He wrote, “Dear Philippines! After two long years, I have finally come back to your lovely country. Yes!! This time, we wanna do it big! I’m hosting a meetup — to meet you in person, and to also shoot a video with you! The video will go on my channel and it’ll be awesome!”

The event will start at 6pm on the dot and, as for what to bring, Yassin simply said: “… a smile. And a Filipino flag and swag!”
In a comment, he also said he’s looking for a “planet warrior” to feature in one of his videos.

Clarifying what he meant by that, he wrote: “Someone that is helping their community, or environment by doing something amazing. Either a doctor, or an environmentalist, or an entrepreneur, or a CEO.”
His crowdsourcing did not stop there. He also asked his fans to pitch “general video ideas about the Philippines in general or anything interesting…”
General video ideas, about the country in general, you say? Generally, maybe, hire a research team next time?

As expected, plenty of Filipinos were stoked about the announcement, such as Arjay Muyrong, who called Yassin “one of my inspiration[s]! [W]elcome to the [P]hilippines.”

Conrad Mativo urged Yassin to visit Vigan in Ilocos Sur. “It’s where you can really see our country’s Spanish roots! While your (sic) there you should also try their Famous Dumplings!”

Herald Villarca expressed his desire to share the stage with the famous vlogger. “Thank you for loving our country,” he told Yassin.

Another fan, Elmira Cando, said she wanted to meet Yassin, but she’s based in Davao City, a one-hour flight away from Manila. “I’ll just wait for your videos to be uploaded,” she wrote.

Yassin moved to Singapore in April this year because he believes the city-state is “the new America.” But some Singaporeans are suspicious of Yassin and have even accused him of being a paid shill working for local companies and the Singapore Tourism Board.
Nas Daily, his channel, features videos tailored for social media sharing, covering various topics from “why he loves to fail” to his views on “why justice does not exist.”
If you got the chance to meet Yassin, what will you tell him? Leave a comment below or tell us by tweeting to @CoconutsManila.
