Real-life broadcast journalist Atom Araullo will make his acting debut as an investigative crime reporter in the film Citizen Jake, directed by Mike De Leon.
The video doesn’t say too much about the plot except for some confrontation scenes with politicians and talks about a murder.
This is also the comeback film of De Leon, a veteran director whose body of work includes critically acclaimed films like Kisapmata, Batch ’81 and Sister Stella L.
Araullo worked for ABS-CBN News for about 10 years before moving to rival GMA News last month.
