Fil-Am beauty vlogger Bretman Rock is on fire, baby!

After he wore a Darna suit for Halloween, the influencer donned a Filipiniana-inspired dress and barong to announce his collaboration with makeup brand ColourPop for a line inspired by his Pinoy roots.

The makeup line will be composed of colors inspired by the Philippine flag. Rock posted the announcement on his Instagram account earlier today.

According to Rock, the products will be out on Nov. 9. They will be sold on ColourPop’s official website.

His caption reads: “So excited to announce my new [c]ollaboration (sic) with @colourpopcosmetics. Available November 9th or [w]hatevah .. I poured my heart and soul into this project and I hope you guys love it as much I do.. I can’t wait to tell you guys more about it !! Collection is totally inspired by my heritage. Sometimes I’m #lit sometimes I’m #wet.”

Even his promo photos were inspired by the colors of the flag: red and blue.

In one of his posts, Rock wears a red Filipiniana-inspired outfit and a crown and stands in front of a red backdrop.

In another with a blue background, he wears a white barong, the traditional shirt worn by Filipino men, while another version of him enjoys a relaxing bath inside a tub.

Rock showed off his collection on Instagram Stories. It is divided into two sections: Lit, which comes in red packaging; and Wet, which comes in blue packaging.

According to Refinery29, the eyeshadows and lip kits under Lit were red and warm-toned, while Wet has blue eyeshadows and pearlescent lip gloss.

Rock, in his Instagram story, said that the eyeshadow kits for each collection are priced at US$12 (PHP637) while the lip bundles are US$16 (PHP849.60).

According to his interview with Refinery29, the colors were inspired by the Philippine flag. He said: “I think it’s so important to share where I am from and represent that Filipino culture.”

And just to prove that this is really a Pinoy-inspired collection, one of the eyeshadows in the Lit palette is called “Bading,” the Filipino word for “gay.”

Rock said it was his way of claiming the word which sometimes has a negative connotation.

He said: “This word can sometimes have a negative connotation, which it truly shouldn’t. I wanted to pay homage to this word and own it. What better way to do that than by including it as the name of a product.”

Just to make everything official, ColourPop’s Twitter account also posted a photo of Rock to announce the collaboration.

Their caption went: “It’s Bretman B*tch… Coming Soon!! #BretmanXColourpop.”

Rock’s fans are shookt AF. One admired how he rocked his red Filipiniana.

But someone said the makeup looked cheap.
