After being featured on Harper’s Bazaar, the New York Post, and Vogue, Victoria’s Secret model Kelsey Merritt has just been featured on Elle magazine’s YouTube account where she had to shop and create a full face of makeup — all within 30 minutes!
Merritt’s video was posted today on Elle‘s YouTube account, which shows her at a Sephora store with fellow Filipino-American Kristina Rodulfo, the publication’s senior beauty editor.
Aside from creating a full makeup look, Merritt also had to make sure that everything she bought in Sephora would not cost more than US$150 (PHP7,897). That’s a tall order because as beauty junkies know, many of the stuff being sold at Sephora are not exactly cheap.
Rodulfo was impressed with Merritt, who even wore sneakers because she knew she would be doing a lot of running around the store. Merritt finished with 45 seconds to spare and what’s more, she only spent US$143 for five products.
Watch how Merritt expertly maneuvers the store with Rodulfo below. The challenge also happens to be the first time she used a Fenty product, the wildly successful beauty brand by singer Rhianna.
Merritt was visibly happy with how her look turned out. “I love it. It’s something I could use every day,” she said. “These are the [kind of] products I’d always have in my bag. It’s (sic) not heavy.”
TBH, Merritt is a natural beauty. Even one netizen thought so, who wrote that “she’s naturally beautiful.”
Another loved the rapport between Rodulfo and Merritt and thought the challenge was fun but stressful.
One netizen thought however that Merritt’s before and after looks appeared the same.
Can’t please them all.
Merritt just added another feather to her cap. Last month, she became a Sports Illustrated rookie and was featured by the popular magazine’s website.
That’s a huge deal because it’s the same publication that featured supermodels Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Kate Upton, and Chrissy Teigen.
