The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale caused quite a stir when it first landed in the Philippines in 2018, launching a million selfies amidst the scads of deeply discounted books that shoppers piled high into their carts.
Because of the pandemic, however, the international discount bookseller has shifted operations online, offering all of the same deals without the risk of catching the coronavirus outside your home.
Running from today, June 30, to July 7, the Big Bad Wolf selection includes a mind-boggling 60,000 titles spread out across all genres, including children’s books, coffee table books, and cookbooks along with fiction and non-fiction titles. Discounts range up to as much as 99% (what), and shipping is free for orders above Php2,900.
The online format looks like it’s actually better for readers—you can browse through the titles by category, or search by author, title, subject, or ISBN. Much better than having to tilt your head sideways to read book spines.
