ICYMI, aspiring candidates filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) last week for the May 2022 national elections for the presidential, vice presidential, and senatorial seats.
Well, content creator and gamer Ashley Gosiengfiao revealed that she consulted the cards on what would happen to the Philippines if any of the major presidential candidates were to win — and the results were interesting, to say the least.
For those who follow Ashley, you may have known that the gaming creator has also gotten into tarot reading –– she even got certified at Mysterium Philippines, a popular tarot and astrology institution.

First, Ashley did a reading on Manila mayor Isko Moreno, who is running under the Aksyon Demokratiko partylist — dishonesty and disharmony were in the cards, as revealed by 2 of Swords, 4 of Wands (reversed), and Justice (reversed).
In a recent press conference, he called Vice President and opposition candidate Leni Robredo’s leadership “fake” after the latter said that Moreno’s remarks about dictator Ferdinand Marcos were one of the factors that pushed her to seek the presidency.

She is touted as the opposition candidate to overturn Duterte’s brand of leadership after having been nominated by broad opposition coalition 1Sambayan, composed of pro-democracy forces across the political spectrum. The VP has also committed to strengthening the pandemic response.

Ashley pulled 4 of Cups, 2 of Swords, and Wheel of Fortune (reversed) for former senator Bongbong Marcos, son of Ferdinand Marcos, revealing bad luck, karma, and complacency. Marcos Jr. recently came under fire after netizens criticized his recent interview with host-actress Toni Gonzaga, where he glossed over the atrocities of Martial Law.

Ashley’s reading on boxing legend and senator Manny Pacquiao revealed that the presidency would be “just another trophy to his name”, based on the 6 of Wands (reversed), Knight of Cups, and Ace of Cups. Pacquiao has recently railed on corruption in the government and was the first presidential bet to file his COC.

Lastly, Ashley’s reading on senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa resulted in the 2 of Wands (reversed), Queen of Swords, and 5 of Swords, suggesting a lack of planning and abuse of power. Dela Rosa showed up to file his COC as the standard-bearer of the PDP-Laban-Cusi faction in an unexpected turn of events, creating speculation that he will withdraw his candidacy for another.

Needless to say, the cards probably aren’t the best basis for when you cast your vote in May — a thorough discernment of each candidate’s platforms and track record is essential.
