Not all of us celebrate the Chinese tradition of the Mid-Autumn Festival, but we all know the awesomeness that are mooncakes.

The mooncake is a glorious thing. It’s an indispensable part of Mid-Autumn festivities, often shared between friends and family as a sign of good luck and good will.

Today, mooncakes are more than just intimate presents for loved ones. It is also customarily given to business associates to foster good partnership. And when you’re given gorgeous cakes filled with exquisite stuff like lotus seeds, sweet red beans, jujube (dates), or five different kinds of nuts — it’s pretty impossible not to like the one who gave it to you.

City of Dreams Manila‘s Premium Mooncakes
City of Dreams Manila’s premium mooncakes are filled with white lotus paste and double egg yolk is priced at PhP3,988 net for a box of four.
It’s available from September 1 to October 4 at the Crystal Dragon, COD’s contemporary Chinese restaurant offering
premium Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties; and Café Society, a gourmet café with a selection of pastries, quick gourmet sandwiches, and hot and cold brews.

 

Marriott Manila‘s Must-have Mooncakes
Sealed in an elegant oriental two-layer box, mooncakes by Marriott are meticulously handcrafted and come in variety of fillings that are authentic to Chinese customs: white lotus, red bean, and pineapple paste.
These must-have mooncakes can be purchased per piece at PhP288 or box of 8 pieces for PhP2,488 at the Marriott Café Bakery or at Man Ho Chinese restaurant at the Marriott West Wing.

 

New World Makati‘s Mouthwatering Mooncakes
